Negative experience: Rips you off when you are younger. Stalls so they can overcharge you for over an hour of service, when your tattoo should take 30 minutes. Sneaky and I am planning on having them investigated, cause this is absolutely disgusting and ridiculous to purposefully stall/overcharge and rip off younger individuals. stop taking advantage of 18 year olds.

Fantastic experience: Loved this Tattoo shop! Very clean, laid back feel. Everyone was so welcoming and the staff all seemed to really enjoy their work and working with each other. Macy did an amazing job taking a very abstract idea and turn it into exactly what I was hoping for! I highly recommend Nomad for your next tattoo job in the Savannah area!

Fantastic experience: ***UPDATE: I returned to GA and booked another session with Macy and she knocked it out of the park once again!!! I have never met a tattoo artist with a touch quite like hers, the work is stunning and as someone who has a low pain tolerance was still able to feel relaxed and manage moments of discomfort. She's my go to artist going forward, despite the distance!!! I came down to GA with my best friend for a one week vacation. We decided before our trip that we wanted to get matching tattoos. The process to book our appointment was so easy!! We originally started at their sister shop's website, which offers group booking! This process made booking two appointments so easy and not confusing since I was the point of contact. We gave them information on what we wanted, and from there they recommended an artist that they felt fit the idea we had. This artist was Macy, and WOW!!! This is my 7th tattoo, but working with Macy made me wish she had been the one to do my other 6! She was very soft spoken, attentive, and SO gentle with her needle. I was so relaxed despite being very nervous to get a tattoo in such a sensitive to me spot.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by Riverside (Nomads sister shop) to see Jo for my cover up tattoo on my arm. I couldn't be happier to have had the opportunity to work with them! This was my first cover up experience. Jo did such an amazing job at not only creating a beautiful piece of art for me but also at covering the old tattoo perfectly! I am 5 days in and following their care instructions to a T. My arm looks great, it's healing well, and I get tons of compliments. I highly recommend Nomad Society and will definitely be seeing Jo again!!

Negative experience: HORRIBLE!!!! The receptionist was hungover and screwed up my time slot and made me pay for their mistakes! Choosing this place was one of the worst tattoo mistakes I’ve ever made! If you want someone who actually gives a shit go to Kustum Hustle, or Ghost Town, or Rose, or Black Orchid. They’re all way cheaper and have much better artists

Fantastic experience: Super awesome that Lauren opened up a sister shop to Riverside, right across the street! Loved working with Lauren again today, for my 6th piece from her. Her artwork on my skin is gorgeous, heals and holds well, and is well worth the wait. I always value her opinion on what will work best on my skin, and what fits well with what I'm wanting. Today's session was no different. I've already got my next two appointments booked!

Fantastic experience: I had a last-minute change when a previous studio canceled on me. I have a long-standing tradition of getting a tattoo on my birthday Every 10 years. I’ve switched that to every five years because I turned 65 this year. Macy Saved the day. Not only was she wonderful to work with, but she is an artist that has a large variety of skills and aesthetic understand understanding. I strongly recommend her in this studio.

Be mindful that these guys and gals are true artists and their prices are a reflection of unmatched quality, care, and customer service. Assuming you've prepared, you will be completely satisfied in choosing any one of them to bring your idea to life. My review stems from a larger piece that took two sessions to complete. After over a year of researching parlors that offered realism, I chose them and the outcome exceeded my expectations. Huge shout out to Paris for her time, attention to detail, and creativity.

Fantastic experience: I went in with my boyfriend for an idea of the artists work and ended up loving the pieces they all did. So I booked my consultation with Macy and gave her range to do a piece she created. All I asked was for a dragon and a sword. She came up with an amazing piece that I’m obsessed with. On the day of my appointment I came with a cup of water and filled my paperwork out and we got started with the sizing. She picked the best size for my anatomy and we got started. Everyone was super friendly super into the design and just overall very welcoming. Me and my boyfriend are going back in a few days for his tattoo and I can’t wait to see what awesome work Macy made for him!

Fantastic experience: I've been meaning to leave a review for a while now but I'm not really a review person. I love this shop and the artists and have traveled from out of state multiple times to get work done. The shop itself is clean, filled with beautiful plants, and lots of artwork. The atmosphere is friendly without being chaotic or unprofessional and the artists are top notch without being intimidating or unfriendly. I have been to a LOT of tattoo shops and this one by far is my favorite. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable and come up with a unique one of a kind design and tattoo you love. I've been tattooed by three people here for multiple different pieces and it's always been a unique and positive experience. There have been some scheduling problems occasionally with storms, sickness etc and they have always been so quick to figure out a new time or date smoothly. Cant wait to come back =)

Positive experience: Nomad Society is a great tattoo shop. My wife recently had a cover-up done by Jo Jo & she did an AMAZING job. I had a dragon tattoo done, not at Nomad but Kiss of Ink in Beaufort, SC by James. And he it was not good, to say the least. I went to see Jo Jo to see what she could to fix it & put color in her. We were limited on the colors because of all the black & the stupid placement of the shadows. However, Jo Jo came up with an idea & a plan. She then implemented that plan & my tattoo is 100% better. She is awsome & so is Jo Jo. The other two ladies that were there yesterday (3.26.25) were amazing as well. I do not want to make this a long review. So to Jo Jo especially & the entire Nomad Society staff and on behalf of my wife, we would like to say THANK YOU so very much.

Fantastic experience: Visited Savannah for a best friend birthday trip with tattoos on the itinerary. Working with Riverside/Nomad was wonderful. They were accommodating and easy to schedule with. On the day of, we received a very warm welcome once we got to Nomad. I had sent Olivia several ideas, and I truly love the tattoo that was created for me. It was like all of the best parts of each example were incorporated into one tattoo. As we were on our way out, we were also given a list of things to check out in the Starland district, which we appreciated and hit up several spots on the list. 10/10 experience…we’ve already talked about returning for our next milestone birthday!

I came to her not knowing exactly what I wanted but just had general themes of power, feminism, rebellion and this is what we ended up doing. I had it done in blue.
