Fantastic experience: I got a nostril and Madonna piercing by Sydney. She is incredible! Everyone in the shop is so nice and very knowledgeable and helpful. And the shop is immaculately clean. I highly recommend Trilogy, and Sydney, if you want a piercing!

Fantastic experience: Went here this month and I can say that the staff and the tattoo artist is very friendly the place was clean and they did an amazing job on my tattoo even tho it was pretty expensive for one little tattoo but they did an amazing job on it and also did great on my nose piercing and I applaud that for sure would recommend this place for piercings or tattoos

Negative experience: Front Desk receptionist TERRIBLE! Makes you feel unwelcomed!! But the tattoo artist definitely made up for it, her customer service was 10/10.

Positive experience: Great artists! We went in last night on a whim and 9 of us got tattoos in remembrance of a relative. The place was super clean and the artists left such great impressions that most of us will return to have more work done. The only draw back was the woman at the front desk. Please send her to a customer service class. You all missed another customer, because of the callous way that she responded to my cousin's tattoo request.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience per usual. This time I got my belly pierced and a VCH piercing. Jaycie was wonderful! She was so sweet, funny, patient, and precise with her craft. I was so scared and nervous about the VCH piercing and she made me feel relaxed the entire time, all while talking me through it! Customer service was exceptional not only from Jaycie but also from Brigette. She greeted me with a friendly smile and was also a support during the time of my services. Thank you Jaycie I’m so I love with my piercings; they’re perfect!!!

Fantastic experience: I've been to Trilogy for 3 of my tattoos and the quality is always top notch, the artists always make sure I'm comfortable, and are super realistic about healing, sizing, and aftercare. Particularly Mark, who is overall just a great artist, super friendly, and cuts it up with you just to make the experience a little less nerve-wracking. If you PROPERLY take care of your tattoo, communicate effectively with your artist, and ask ANY questions you have regarding concerns during the healing process-- you are guaranteed to be returning to Trilogy!

Fantastic experience: About a year ago I got my nose pierced here and the whole experience was great. Super clean place, friendly staff, and the process was super smooth. Piercing has healed great and I love it. Edit: Since posting this review I have gotten my eyebrow pierced here as well. My piercer let me know about the rejection rate of the piercing and expressed her concerns about my anatomy but said it was up to me. Luckily, it has healed wonderfully and not rejected!

Fantastic experience: Simon was very good and did my tattoo in a very neat and timely manner, I didn't have an appointment so I had to wait a few hours before but once I got in it did not take long and it looks phenomenal.

Negative experience: Me and my husband went Wednesday to get three tattoos and poor work on his neck n arm. Not sure if the problem was our skin color but not good work at all. Not recommended at all they do not take pride on they work i see it was all about money. We have to let these tattoo heal n get someone else re do this sloppy work.

Negative experience: I got a simple tattoo 2 weeks ago from Maddie. It looked good the day of but 2 weeks later, I noticed the ink she switched out to complete the little shading faded away and the lines need redone. I understand things happen but the reason I am leaving 1 star is because I should not have to work around the artist schedule to fix this tattoo, it is so inconsiderate and no type of sympathy given. I shouldn’t even have to go back and they should work around the clients schedule to fix the issue. Also, that adhesive tape they use left a mark, it’s been 2 weeks and counting. There was another man in there complaining about a tattoo he just got as well the day I got mine. I wondered if that was my warning but took a chance and here we are.

Fantastic experience: The best. Extremely talented artists. High cleanliness standards and very professional.

Negative experience: Customer service was very poor. I called ahead and she lied to me like I’d be able to receive a specific piercing. Told me if I came before someone else got there it would be no problem and when I got there the energy completely shifted when she saw me. I’d hate to insinuate that it was to do with race but it was kind of interesting that when she saw me and went to the back it suddenly couldn’t be done. Whereas when a group of white girls walked in they received the service they wanted. It’s fine. No bitterness. Just writing the review so my crew knows what’s up. Go where your wanted and respected folks. I will not be returning to try again. It was horrible customer service and it wasted my time. Was really looking forward to getting this piercing and I figured they’d do well with it.

Fantastic experience: Great experience! Bridget at the front desk was helpful, professional, attentive, and kind. My piercer, Celeste, also exhibited all those qualities plus she was very considerate of my comfort. She took plenty of time to make sure the placement was good and that I liked it. My three upper lobes are healing well thanks to their careful aftercare instructions. The prices are very fair. Definitely coming back!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been wanting a nose ring since college but I was too afraid after seeing a friend of mine getting it done. So in the midst of a mid-life crisis, I finally decided to get one and I love it. Sydney was my piercer and she was fantastic. The placement of the ring was great and she managed to do it without any pain which absolutely shocked me because that was my biggest fear. She was professional and kind. Nice clean shop. I went there because people told me to go to Trilogy to get my piercing done and I’m so glad that I did! They definitely lived up to their reputation.

Fantastic experience: I seriously can’t say enough good things about my experience at Trilogy Tattoo Studio in Memphis. My partner and I came in together—she got her septum pierced and I got my nostril done—and we were lucky enough to be taken care of by Jackie (@pokedbyspooks), a guest piercer who made us feel completely at home. Jackie was so kind, calm, and knowledgeable. She helped us choose the perfect placement for our piercings, talked us through everything, and made the whole experience feel safe and personal. I’m not great with needles, but she was so warm and reassuring. She even wiped the tears off my face afterward in the gentlest, most thoughtful way. The front desk staff also deserves a huge shoutout—they were incredibly helpful, welcoming, and genuinely fun to talk to. From the moment we walked in, they set the tone for how awesome this shop is. And when I got lightheaded during my partner’s piercing, the whole Trilogy team jumped into action—soda, suckers, fans, the works. They were quick, kind, and made sure I felt okay before letting me move. The studio is clean, professional, and has such a good vibe overall. The piercing prices were very fair, and the level of care and attention we got was seriously next level. This was hands down the best piercing experience I’ve ever had—and Trilogy Tattoo has earned a forever client in me.

Update: I had gone to Trilogy before for piercings, and I followed Abby Brooks for a while on instagram! She posted a few flash designs that I fell in love with. I am so pleased by this tattoo. I love it so much. It was a very comfortable experience, and she was super sweet!

Fantastic experience: I have gone to get pierced by Rico five times now. He is amazing. Takes the extra time for placement and works with the bodies natural asymmetry. The shop is always clean, and all of the staff are kind and accommodating. The pricing is reasonable for the quality of jewelry, and I feel they have a lot of options always in stock for each type of peircing. I will 100% be coming back for every peircing and will look into getting a tattoo here.

Original piercing placement (photo to the right) was placed too low, & not at the “sweet spot”, but rather through cartilage. Corrected piercing placement (left photo) MUCH better as it is at a “”sweet spot” (1 of 4 found & noted by Sydney at Trilogy).

Fantastic experience: Rico did my piercings today and I was very impressed. He was very nice and I got super nervous since I’m not a fan of needles and he calmed me down.

Negative experience: So pissed off. I have total probably 40 tattoos. I went in here for a simple peace sign on my hand. Waited 6 hours and paid $100. 4 weeks later you can only see ONE line of the tattoo. I've called twice and messaged 6 times on fb. My messages keep getting by read and no reply and can't get ANYONE to answer.

This has to be the easiest healing process I’ve ever had. Sydney was helpful and explained everything she was doing. I love the position and the angle of the piercing. Extremely disappointed with the level of service we received. I've never felt more unwelcome in a business before. Save a trip and a headache and go to Inked down the street.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a cover up over the most horrible tattoo in the world. I have been told numerous times by different artists that it could not be covered. Well....Nate is the G.O.A.T.!!! Completely covered it up in the first session! Way above my expectations! Cant wait to see the results after the second session....

Fantastic experience: Very welcoming LGBTQ+ community there which I really appreciated. I got 2 tattoos done by Eric (one being a coverup) and they turned out sick. Here are the tattoos about a week or 2 after getting them done. I also got some piercing jewelry from them and the afternoon piercer was also a super cool guy. Also, despite negative reviews, this place was as clean as can be. Literally the cleanest piercing room I have ever seen. I mean it was seriously doctor level. Tattoo artists are also always cleanly and they use and change their gloves and supplies.

Fantastic experience: Rico is the best! Super professional and extremely good bedside manner. The helix piercing I got yesterday was quick and relatively painless, and my ear feels great today! I’ll definitely be returning for further piercings later down the line. Shop itself is very clean and well maintained, and front desk staff are great to interact with as well. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: My appointment was at 3. I arrived at 2:40 and was told there backed up. Then at 3:30 was told the artist added her own spice to my design which was completely different than what I asked for. I then had to wait another hour for her to resketch my original design. I found that very frustrating because I don’t understand why I was not informed about the change in my design before she went ahead and did it.

Fantastic experience: Got my helix pierced here recently and I've also had a second piercing in my ear lobes done here a few months ago! Sydney pierced them both and they're healing nicely. She did an amazing job and talked me through the process so I wasn't stressed or worried about it at all. I would recommend anyone who is thinking about getting a new piercing to come here!

Fantastic experience: We took our daughter in to get her ears pierced. They do not take appointments so be flexible when planning. We had to wait over an hour but it was well worth it. Sydney was the piercer and she was wonderful with our young and nervous daughter. She took her time explaining everything and talking through the process. She triple checked the placement using a micrometer caliper. And when she did the actual piercing it was fast and easy. Our daughter didn’t even flinch. Well worth the time and expense ($155).

Negative experience: I got a cartilage and a tragus piercing almost 6 months ago and i have had endless trouble with both. Both have piercing bumps and infection. i have cared for them exactly as i was instructed, and even returned to the shop later to see if there was anything more i could be doing to help them heal. i was told to keep cleaning and that eventually my body would “get used to the piercings.” i have over 8 piercings and have never had this kind of trouble. i don’t know where exactly it went wrong, but i would highly recommend finding a different shop and saving yourself the trouble.

Negative experience: I’ve used Trilogy 3 times and its been fairly decent but on my 3rd visit i was extremely disappointed. Customer service(front desk) was not friendly, welcoming and almost made us miss our appointment (told us one time but wrote another). Young lady practically made my partner and I feel unwelcome. Just might have been my last time there. Thank you anywas.

Fantastic experience: Rico is amazing!! He pierced my navel which had been poorly done by another piercer a couple years ago. He talked me through the whole process and gave extremely detailed after care instructions. I would recommend anybody visit Rico to get pierced!

Negative experience: My wife and I walked in to Trilogy to get her nose pierced. We were taken aback by the covid protocols. It’s summer 2022 y’all. 99.9% of places including health care providers do not ask for vaccination cards and do not require masks anymore. A little weird and completely irrational that it is still required nowadays. It wouldn’t be as big of a deal, but some of the employees didn’t have their masks over their nose. But whatever. My wife got her nose pierced by Syd(I think I heard the name right) who was amazing and super friendly, entertaining and patient during the piercing process. I was let in the back room for moral support for my wife(who has extreme anxiety and other related issues). We were given tips and suggestions on what to buy to help the healing process. I would recommend this piercer 10x over. Real pleasant experience. After the piercing my wife wanted to get the tattoo that shes been wanting for awhile. Super simple line wave. She got the quote, paid, signed the paper work and was told to come back in a few hours. Cool. We came back a few hours later. And although we were in and out in like 30 mins the experience wasn’t as stellar as the first one a few hours before. Staff was a little rude to my wife, again staff not fully wearing masks over their nose yet the customer is required to wear the mask. The tattoo artist then wouldn’t allow me in the room with my wife for moral support. That was never said once during the process. Nothing was posted in the shop. Nothing on the paperwork she signed that said I couldn’t be in the room. Your shop, your rules I get it, but had we known that was your “policy” we wouldn’t have gotten the tattoo here. Also if this is your “policy” why was I let in the back with the piercing session? This would have been her first tattoo together with me. My wife even asked for a simple photo of her getting tattooed. The artist replied no. To avoid confrontation and wasting everyone’s time my wife went ahead and got the tattoo and she’s happy with it overall. But I do feel like you guys could have communicated better and post these “policies” around the shop. The arbitrary made up “policy” ruined what otherwise would have been a good experience for me and my wife that we were looking forward to experiencing it TOGETHER. Guess not. I would be giving 1 star to this place but Syd (again I think that was the name) deserves 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: I came into to Trilogy on May 1st (2022) attempting a walk-in tattoo, but good things come to those who wait. They were slammed and presumably weren’t able to do it that night. Although I wasn’t able to get my piece that night, Wil took amazing care of me! She took the overall idea of my tattoo, scaled it perfectly to my desires, got me a quote and scheduled me for today, May 14th. My artist was Mark and from the very beginning, he made me feel comfortable and was very kind. A bit into my tattoo, I began to feel faint (I have a small history of my blood sugar bottoming out, no matter the precautions I take) so I told him and he immediately took action and made sure I was okay, had me lay down and went to grab me a drink. I was embarrassed, as one would be and he assured me that it was entirely okay and it was much more common than I may think. I typically don’t talk a lot in new environments or around new people but with him it was so easy. He was a good sport about me being an absolute chatty kathy and when I tell you my tattoo looks AMAZING, I’m not exaggerating. Mark is absolutely amazing at what he does. I will definitely be coming to see him again!! I would give him 100 stars if I could. The first photo shown was 24h after it was wrapped between the initial wrap and the second one (edit: the second photo is 2 months healed, the photo looks wonky because of the angle lol )

Fantastic experience: Best experience with a piercing ever! Wouldn’t want to go anywhere else ever again. The jewelry was pricey and the wait time was about 2hrs for walk in piercings, but honestly all worth it. I have many piercings already, and any other shop I’ve been to didn’t even come close to Trilogy. The wait time was so long because Rico takes so much time with each customer. He is incredibly thorough with explaining the whole process and what he is going to do. He helps you with breathing techniques and explains to you why he uses them. He talks to you the whole time and we felt so safe and comfortable with him. Every other piercer I’ve went to were never as caring about their job and customer as Rico. Usually they don’t talk much and if they see you already have several piercings they just assume you already know the drill and aren’t nervous, so they don’t really acknowledge you. This was the total opposite. He is also so fast at piercing that you don’t even really have time to process it and through it all he continues to help you stay calm and breathe. 10/10 experience!

Fantastic experience: By far the BEST shop in memphis. I recently moved from FL and wanted to find a new shop to call home. We'll this place is it! First impression walking in was feeling accepted and no judgement, friendly, ans clean. And my artist absolutely amazing! I cannot wait to work with them more in the future!

Fantastic experience: I got my lobes repierced and must i say, the staff is amazing and inclusive. Very friendly very professional. I personally might come back to Memphis JUST to go to them again in the future XD. The peircer was quick to help me when i felt faint and nauseous and explained everything in detail. He was quick and it was painless! I highly recommend this business and definitely will be coming back.

Fantastic experience: I went to get my ear pierced requesting for a conch and the guy that took care of me was so cool and explained everything. They had plenty of options from which stud I could get. I am happy that I went there!

Negative experience: If I could give 0 I would. Place had roaches staff was unprofessional dressed in skimpy skin all out outfits and very rude. I took hand drawn sketches of my own art to get quotes for tattoos she took my art and got a quote but then wouldn't let me have my drawings back. They were so rude and unprofessional. The place was also NOT biohazard friendly. Needle on the floor is a definite no business from me. IF YOU WANT CLEAN LOW RISK OF INFECTION this place ain't for you.

Fantastic experience: I went to Trilogy to get my lobes pierced. It was my first piercing ever (at age 22) so I was quite nervous. They got me in quickly and were very efficient. It was a little pricey ($150 for mid range earrings) but my experience was good. I have had issues in the past with fainting or feeling faint during and after experiences with needles, and I was concerned this could happen again. Immediately after both of my piercings were done (which was only slightly painful) I felt woozy and my color changed very quickly. Sydney and the other women there reacted quickly, helping me to lie down and getting me a coke and candy bar to help with my blood sugar. They also put a cold compress on my neck to help me, which was very nice. I was so embarrassed but having such thoughtful professionals around was great. Thanks Sydney and everyone at Trilogy!

Fantastic experience: I got my nose pierced yesterday by Ricardo(Rico) he is the best !! He is very professional he double checks and makes sure you like your piercing placement before he starts lets you see all the tools he will use and let’s you know every step of the way and great at explaining after care for your piercing!

Fantastic experience: My right nostril was done by Sydney and my septum and left nostril was done by Rico both very amazing and Ashley switched my septum jewelry for me currently don’t have pictures but she was the sweetest I love this place have had no problems and will get all my future piercings here!!

Fantastic experience: So ! When I came into the shop I was greeted by grace! Grace has been really helpful and all the other tattoo artists seems really cool. But Rico did my septum piercing which he did himself and he also look at my other nose piercings as well which another person did. He briefly explain to me how the septum piercing works, how my septum piercing is going to look during different stages( including after a few months, and year ) , Alternatives ways to clean my nose piercings, Rico also told me! How many times max I can flip my septum piercing up when I first get it, and after some time pass, and so much more. I 10/10 would recommend Mr.Rico I shall be coming back to Mr.Rico to get more piercings done! Side note: When you get into trilogy they also have music playing which did help set me at ease! Instead of being nervous about having a needle inside my nostril lol.

Fantastic experience: I got a second lobe piercing and they were very professional and I could tell they have been piercing ears for a long time. It was a little pricey ($150) but I'm glad I got it here. The person who pierced my ears has a work phone number that he only gives to his clients incase they have any questions after they leave. The whole staff was very friendly, I HIGHLY recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I got my nose pierced by Sydney and I’m in love! Elliot and Sydney are insanely sweet and I never want to go anywhere else. It was a easy and painless process and the two of them were wonderful!

Fantastic experience: I went in to get my conch and tragus pierced and I was greeted by the receptionist. She immediately calmed my nerves. She helped me pick out jewelry and I got signed in. I had to wait about 30 minutes which was fine. Rico did both piercings and with his breathing techniques, the tragus was painless and the conch had minimal pain! Rico was very informative and I’m glad I chose Trilogy for my piercing needs. I suggest anyone who is afraid of the pain to go see Rico. He will definitely take care of you!

Fantastic experience: Sydney is a fantastic and very professional piercer. I have an unusual piercing… It is a double tragus in my right ear. It could be hard to work with because my ears are tiny, and the piercings are only about a quarter inch apart. Regardless of the possible difficulty, Sydney has helped me with my piercings for several years now. Anytime I want to change them out, or have to have them re-installed, she takes great care of me, and always stands behind her work. She even contacted me about one of my piercings, to let me know she had a piece to install in it that would make it more comfortable. Sydney goes above and beyond to take care of her customers, and give them exactly what they ask for. She’s also extremely knowledgeable about how to care for your piercings. I would not go anywhere else. Highly recommend trilogy, and especially Sydney.

Fantastic experience: ASK FOR RICO!!!!!! This was single-handedly the best experience I've ever had getting a piercing. Inked Memphis is just across the street and as soon as I walked into Trilogy, I knew I had made a mistake ever going into Inked. Inked did my piercing wrong and it hadn't been healing properly because THE PIERCING WAS DONE INCORRECTLY. Needless to say, as soon as the piercing experience began in Trilogy, I knew this was the place I would continue going to for any future piercing or tattoo needs. Rico cleaned and sanitized every instrument. He wore gloves. HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME AND MY BEST FRIEND AS TO WHY WE NEED TO DO THINGS AND WHY WE SHOULDN'T DO OTHERS. He even gave us his personal phone number so we could ask him any questions we had! He gets most of his money through tips and you best believe he got a big one for him and his baby girl! Amazing job, Rico. I'll be back soon.

Negative experience: I recently texted and emailed expressing that I wanted a tattoo. I never contact shops until I know I can financially afford it, as one responsible customer should always do. I said what I wanted, and I wanted to move forward with scheduling once I was told the price. No response, never got a response back. Like covid has made these shops so stupid and unprofessional with contacting customers. This is like the 2nd time I’ve been asking for a simple tattoo. It’s frustrating to not be able to get a simple lettering tattoo. Guess they didn’t want to do a tattoo under $200?
