After being tattooed by Courtney, it is totally understandable why she is booked months in advance; she has an incredible eye for detail and a tattooing ability that rivals the best in the industry. Noah helps to create an environment that anyone would want to return to. My wife also had work with Howie, and he did an incredible job too! Way to build an awesome business!

Negative experience: Went in for a consult on a tattoo sleeve. There were multiple unhoused persons on the street outside of the business shooting up. I elected to park inside the gate of the business instead of on the street which I was told was unacceptable and only for the artists themselves. There was 6 empty parking spots. I'm not interested in spending a several thousand dollars on a tattoo sleeve at a place like this. I’ll go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Yulie is fabulous, she does a fantastic job. I’ve been super happy with my tattoos. They are beautiful and exactly what I wanted. The healing process was the best I’ve ever had too! She is fun and kind and she makes you feel comfortable while you are in her chair. I also had the pleasure of seeing some of Kalypso’s work and it was beautiful as well! Won’t be going anywhere else for ink! Update 11.8.25 I’ve now had 2 tattoos done by Decker and he is absolutely fantastic as well. Makes me feel comfortable, is fun to chat with, and does amazingly beautiful work. I’m in love with both of tattoos from him. We discussed future ideas and size/placement options. He was excellent. My experience with the shop overall has truly been one of the best. Everyone is friendly, encouraging, has great communication and just provides a great experience. 12/10 would recommend.

I went in with a reference picture, and left with the piece looking exactly like, if not, better. The whole process felt comfortable, and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. Fantastic experience: Met with Jeremy to start the tattoo process and after talking design and how I wasn’t sure how much I wanted to do based on expected pain and irritation from the process, he walked me through everything to expect and calmed my concerns. Came back for the actual tattoo and it went exactly as expected. This was my first tattoo and Jeremy made it smooth and efficient with almost zero pain or discomfort. I’ve already scheduled my next visit to work towards a sleeve.

Negative experience: The tattoo I received was not what was discussed. It’s not well done and already looks old and faded and it’s two months old. I paid 350 bucks for a horrible tattoo that I have to spend more money on to get fixed at another shop. My cousins tattoo (3rd photo) is barely there and we got them at the same time. We will not be back. Bad work is bad work. If a tattoo heals that horribly you shouldn’t stand by it. We don’t want to risk a worse outcome by having him retouch it.

Fantastic experience: Nice, welcoming, and comfortable place to visit. Offered water while waiting. Artists seemed friendly and professional. Cleanliness taken seriously here. My second bit of ink here. "Howie" does a really nice job. Turtle is from a recent frame capture scuba diving and turned out exactly as we discussed. A couple of friends also have told me good things.

Fantastic experience: Before & After (me in the white shirt is After), J did a phenomenal job taking this tattoo to the next level. I almost kinda hated looking at it in the mirror until J added so much extra detail, now I can't stop checking it out every morning in the mirror, even months later. J does incredible work with a kind of Sketch style that looks so cool and unique, can't recommend them enough, thanks so much J!

Fantastic experience: Howie did an absolute spectacular job, I had a charcoal drawing my sister did before she passed and they were able to recreate a rendition and it turned out so perfect! It turned out better than what I could have ever dreamed of. You are the best Howie!

Fantastic experience: The shop is clean, professional, and beautiful. I had Kaylpso as my artist and he is great and actually excited to work on the project. The wait time to actually get started tattooing was the shortest I've seen, and there were no unnecessary and prolonged breaks (except by me ). They really value your time and effort as a client. AND he was very accommodating when I was being a big baby while getting tattooed. very important. *also, they sell local art there and that's cool.

She is dedicated to precision in your tattoo, cleanliness and hygiene of the tattooing process, and making sure you have the best experience ever. I got a script tattoo in ancient Greek, and despite the difficulty of working with a dead language, Kayla was able to flawlessly pull of the accents and font (and was continuously checking the draft to make sure it was correct). Her kindness, attentiveness, and care while tattooing made it the best tattoo experience I have ever had, and I am genuinely so grateful that I came here. I would highly recommend Kayla and Fortunata Tattoo!

Fantastic experience: I just had my very first tattoo with Kalypso at Fortunata recently and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire process. From the planning process to the actual tattoo itself, everything was done professionally and explained to me well. I already had a design in mind, I just wanted to have an artist do it that I felt could best match the style I was looking for, and I honestly couldn't be more pleased. Tattoo itself was pretty painless! Not sure if I have a high pain tolerance (doubtful) or if Kalypso is just that skilled (more likely). The shop itself is very clean and professional feeling, which was very important to me when it comes to something like this. It's also a very large studio, but you wouldn't really notice with how private the whole experience feels. Pricing was also very fair and in line with what I expected. I would give them a 6 out of 5 stars if I could. I highly recommend them, especially from a first timers perspective. I can see why they won Best of Inlander, they honestly deserve it.

Fantastic experience: A couple friends and I wanted spontaneous tattoos while in Spokane for a girls trip. We called 3 places and none one responded. The last place we called was Fortunata, when we called they were so friendly and helpful and squeezed in 3 tattoos within 30 minutes of calling. As soon as we got there, we were greeted with friendly customer service. It is a very clean and professional place. They have water and drinks. They communicate very clearly and are some of the nicest people I have met. They kept us updated on when we would be going back and has great communication. When we went back and met with the artist, she was up front and very open about what we wanted. The whole experience was so amazing from the time we called to the time we left! Would recommend this to anyone who is wanting an excellent experience!

Fantastic experience: This was my first tattoo and I couldnt be happier with it. The location I picked for the work was a bit painful but the artist was super patient and helpful when I needed a short break. He was also super light with the tattoo gun (pen?) too so that helped a ton I think. The front receptionist was super sweet too. I arrived an hour or so early and they didnt mind me chilling in the lobby. Highly reccomend!

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best shop in Spokane. My artist is Bethany and she is amazing! She has been working on a full color floral forearm half-sleeve for me the last few years. Her work is beautiful and she will put you at ease with a friendly vibe. She even pulled a Sunday shift for me in order to get my work done in time for my wedding. The shop itself has an upscale spa-meets-hipster vibe. Great communication, reasonable price (you get what you pay for), unbeatable environment.

Fantastic experience: My friend and I came to this studio on a whim one morning, wanting to choose each other’s designs without the other one knowing until it was finished. Fortunata ended up being one of the only studios open for a walk in that day, and now that’s its finished, I wouldn’t have had it any other way! We ended up with Molly, who was extremely flexible with what we wanted to do. She was mindful of our time restrictions, really engaged with us, was very funny, and above all, produced results that we were extremely happy with. Thank you Fortunata and Molly for an excellent experience - we will definitely be back :)

Fantastic experience: I got a hip piece done in May by Bee and my experience here was fantastic! Bee gave me plenty of time to decide how I wanted the tattoo to look, and if I wanted to change things about it. The tattoo came out soo beautifully, I’ll absolutely be going back for more from her!! The shop itself is extremely nice and very clean. I’m always greeted right when I come in and offered a water. They even made me a coffee for the road after my appointment when they heard I would be driving a few hours home!

Fantastic experience: My friend and I were looking for a walk-in and we ended up getting Molly as our artist! Molly was AMAZING!! She was so sweet and so incredibly helpful. She fully took my existing tattoos into consideration so that my chosen matched in terms of shading. My friend and I did blindfold tattoos and she was so down and made our experience 10x better!! The shop was beautiful and had a super friendly atmosphere. It was very clean and had a very easy and up to date check in process! Fantastic experience: My best friend and I went to Washington for a trip and spontaneously decided to get matching tattoos. I called and asked if they took walk-ins and it was our lucky day that they had room for the two of us. Our artist ended up being Jeremy, one of the new artists in town, and we could not have been happier. The vibes were great and it was a super comfortable space. The shop itself is amazing and so pretty and clean. Lots of greenery and the tattoo spaces are so cute!! I guess you can say that we traveled all the way from Minnesota to get tattooed here. Amazing and highly recommend. And in case if you were wondering, we got the angel numbers 222.

Fantastic experience: fortunata is a very clean, professional business. i got a memorial piece done by Kalypso and i was very pleased. he's a very considerate and fun person, he made the experience as enjoyable as it can be lol. the tattoo looks exactly like the picture, every line and scribble exactly where it should be. it looks splotchy but its an 8 year olds drawing so he was just copying what she drew, im extremely happy with it and will definitely be coming back.

They are super professional, kind, do amazing art work and the rest of the staff is super helpful and kind as well. The art styles in this shop are all unique and very well done styles ranging from anime to realism to traditional. In regards to cleanliness and professionalism in the tattoo industry they are very much up to standards in all the ways you'd hope as well. A safe space for POC, LGBT and any other kinds of persons as well which makes it even more comfy for the tattoo sessions. I intend to get all my tattoos done by the various talented artists that work here.

The experience with both was absolutely amazing every member of their team is warm and welcoming. Molly is an unbelievably talented artist m. She makes you feel so comfortable and not at all rushed. Truly the best place in Spokane to go!
