Fantastic experience: Had the honor to get some pixel tattoos with from Beta! They were in my city for a short bit. Had a blast! Big props to do everything in one go. Very professional and great vibes. Highly knowledgeable and experienced minimal pain. The goat.

After he completed my work and i paid, he reached out to remind me that the deposit required at the time of booking should have went towards the final amount due, he sent me a refund promptly. :)

Fantastic experience: We came across Kingdom Tattoo while searching for a new artist for our daughter’s first large piece. She already has several smaller tattoos, but for this one she was very specific about the technique: fine lines, intricate detail, with a touch of realism. After months of researching artists in the Houston area, we reached out to Mike, and I swear… we hit the jackpot! Mike was incredibly easy to talk to and very responsive from the start. The shop itself was clean, bright, comfortable, and professional, and everyone there was welcoming and kind. Most importantly, Mike absolutely nailed this tattoo!! It is stunning! He spent seven hours on the piece and completed it in one session. We couldn’t be happier with the experience or the final result! Thanks, Mike!!

Positive experience: The work is great but now that my tattoo is finally healed everyone asks me what’s wrong with my tattoo. When I was getting it done I asked if he could make it darker and he said no because it would mess it up. I love it but I wished it was darker): and now I feel like I need to get it covered up and spend more money bcs It wasn’t done how I wanted it the first time.

Fantastic experience: Prior to getting tattooed by Anh Tran, I had a hummingbird tattoo on my arm. My vision was to begin working on a sleeve based off of the tattoo I already had. I’ve finished my 2nd session with him now, and I’m in love with where this sleeve is heading! He listens very well and has always incorporated everything I have asked for. He has added his own unique artistic vision, and I couldn’t be happier I can’t wait to see how amazing session 3 will turn out!

Negative experience: I want to share an honest update about my experience at Kingdom Tattoo. I’ve gone to artist, Beta, about 3–4 times before and always had great results. My last tattoo back in March was something I was really looking forward to, so I trusted her completely based on those past experiences. Unfortunately, the day of the appointment must have been an off day for her, because the tattoo I received was nothing like what I wanted. It turned out really bad, and I still struggle to look at it. I know the question is: How did I sit through the whole thing if it wasn’t turning out right? Honestly, because I trusted her. I wasn’t watching the whole time—I closed my eyes, relaxed, and assumed it would come together and look better once healed. I ignored my gut feeling, which I deeply regret. She also made two other small errors (fixable) that same night, which is understandable as humans have off days, but unacceptable when the work is permanent. After going home and sleeping on it, I messaged her the next day to explain that I really wished the tattoo wasn’t on my body at all. Since I couldn’t undo it, I asked for a refund for the $500. The only thing offered was discounted tattoos for the next three pieces, which just wasn’t equivalent to the financial or emotional impact—and I no longer felt comfortable going back. Because of how bad the tattoo was, I immediately started laser removal the moment I was allowed to—after the 4-week healing period. The removal is costing me $5,000. Easily the most expensive lesson I’ve ever had, and it’s still affecting me now. I’ve been wearing a sleeve to hide it, and I’ll be dealing with this for a long time until it’s finally gone. To be clear: she is kind, and she did apologize. But an apology doesn’t fix something that’s permanently on your skin. I’m sharing this to remind others: always speak up during your appointment. Say exactly what you want, repeat it if needed, and just because you’ve had good experiences before, don’t let your guard down. Watch the process, trust your gut, and advocate for yourself in the moment. I would still recommend her, but only for simpler, basic tattoos—nothing detailed or complex. I personally though will not be returning, thank you for your time.

Fantastic experience: I went for a few new tattoos and took my husband with me to get his first one. Mike did mine and Golden K did my husband’s and we love how they turned out! The shop was clean and the artists were all very polite. They are excellent at what they do! I’m so happy with the fine lines on mine and my husband is very happy with his. It was easy to set up an appointment and they gave us exactly what we wanted. We will definitely be back! Already had a few people ask us where we went!

I had a basic idea but there was some weak spots in my design and I asked him to enhance it as he saw fit and he did an amazing finished product for me. Fantastic experience: My sister and I went to get tattoos today and they came out so good! My sister ended up getting a brown ink tattoo and it turned out even better than she had been expecting! The fine line details and shading are amazing! All the artists share one common space with separate areas but they are able to put up a partition to block the view if you’re getting your tattoo in a more private area! I felt super comfortable with my artist as well as the rest of the staff! Would recommend to all my friends and will definitely be coming back when in the area!! My artist was the Tattoo Dragon!

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience. Now I flew all the way from NYC to get tatted by Mike. I did a half sleeve and let me tell you, the details are perfection! It took a while but I am truly happy with the end result. Mike took his time, made sure it was perfect to my liking. He advised me on how far down or up it should go, we took a break in between and most importantly, he made sure it was perfect. His response to my msg was a bit slow which I understood because the man is working and when he did respond he give me an estimate and we worked towards that. Fantastic experience: I decided to get a tattoo as a memorial for a very close family that lost their lives in the Hill Country floods. Choose Kingdom Tattoos because I heard they did amazing fine line work and the tattoo I wanted was a hawk feather with a bunch of fine detail. Mike was my artist and he was amazing! Very thorough and did an outstanding job. I’ll be back next time I decide to get some work.

Fantastic experience: I went and got my first tattoo with @koko.inker.houston (their instagram) and it was absolutely phenomenal. Gave me so many options for sizing and font, triple checked that the placement was perfect and what I wanted, was so gentle and it turned out amazing. I’m from NBTX and I’d make the drive to get another tattoo with them anytime.

Positive experience: I think my overall experience was ok. I think they are clean and professional. The only things I did not like was the fact that I had to come back after my tattoo didn’t heal properly from the color. I understand that tattoos do get lighter but, I felt it could have been done better and even the second time. My sister and I came and she got hers done the first and once it healed a lot of the ink came out and when she went back the guy only went over what he thought he should go over and after looking at it when we got home his work the second time was not good. I think they can engage with their customers more, I didn’t like how the lady who did mine was quiet the whole time didn’t make conversation only when it was time to pay. So yea , we won’t be going back. We are not upset about it just wasn’t the best of experience.

Fantastic experience: I first saw Beta’s work on IG and was immediately impressed by the 8 bit work. I am big on Pokémon so the more I saw their Pokémon pieces, the more I knew I wanted to get something done here. I was debating for some time on which 8 bit Pokemon i wanted, but it wasn’t until the Ghibli flash page went up that I was able to make a quick decision. It was a very pleasant and straightforward experience while getting the tattoo with prompt and effective communication. I’m already looking forward to going back for more because I think I’ve found the artist that’s right! All the work is similar to my interests so I’m glad Beta popped up on my feed

Fantastic experience: Excellent place to get tattoos. The environment is incredibly sterile. The experience is amazing. The customer service is amazing. Nathania and crew took such amazing care of us, especially my wife since it was her first tattoo. We will definitely be coming back!

Positive experience: My response to owner: Thank you very much. I commend your overall commitment to great service. I will wait one more month and come back for touch up. I was quoted $140 during consult prior to start and we did discuss color. Once printed, I did request for it to be a little longer and decided purple ink. My final tattoo is just under 6 inches on arm/ 1 inch on hand. She should have gave new price PRIOR to starting tattoo. She only warned me that the purple ink would not last as long as black on darker skin. When finished, she say $150 for harder work on darker skin...not because of size. She went back to $140 and I still tip $10 so she received $150. The first Pic is what I asked for. The remainder are pics of my tattoo by "Koko". I'm satisfied with my lower arm, but the overall quality of the fine line lotus on my hand is sloppy compared to photos from other reviewers. Also, after completing the tattoo, the artist attempted to charge more than the quoted price. I told her it was very unethical to wait until completion to request more money... especially since it took her about an hour to complete it. It's not like I was quoted a discount price to begin with. She agreed and went back to the original price. She claimed it was more work because it was difficult for her to see the purple ink on darker skin. Well, I have 4 tattoos from other shops and 2 contain colors blue, red and green. NEVER has any artists complained about using a color ink on me. If Koko wasn't experienced or comfortable with tatting brown skin then allow another artist to do it. I didnt come there to be practiced on. My hand would have turned out better had she taken her time. I was her last appointment so maybe she was tired and my tattoo is the consequence. Last, she did not resize the image properly so the lotus is not symmetrical neither. One side is slightly longer. Unfortunately, I didnt realize the distortion at the time. The line work is inconsistent, some areas light and dark in other areas. I will need someone to clean it up at some point.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Tran was the best! Saw him on instagram and he get back to me that day with quotes. He was super efficient, initially telling me my tatto would take around 5 hours. My appointment was 11, the actual tattoo started at 12. I got out at 2! He checked in with me constantly, asking about pain and making sure I was ok. Prices are high but you pay for what you get, and I got a high quality tattoo. Environment was clean and bright. Staff were very nice too. I will definitely come back for another, especially for Mr. Tran!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for the past two years, and Anh (Instagram: @HoustonTattooDragon) has done six of my tattoos so far—and he’s the only artist I’ll ever go to. I genuinely wish he’d done all of my previous tattoos! His work is exceptional and ages beautifully. I get asked all the time about my tattoos because of the stunning detail, especially the precision of his line work. My most recent tattoo with Anh is incredibly meaningful to me, as it honors my dad, who passed away in September. I couldn’t quite visualize the piece myself, but I knew what I wanted it to represent. Anh instantly understood my vision, sketched it on my arm to get the perfect size, and pieced everything together beautifully. The end result completely blew me away—he captured all the important details to honor my dad, including my late dad’s signature, which looks incredibly real. When I showed it to my mom, she was moved to tears. Anh is not only immensely talented but also very knowledgeable and professional. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my tattoos.

Koko’s attention to detail is amazing, and they are very gentle which I was super thankful for. I can not recommend this place enough!

Fantastic experience: Amazing tattoo! Tran did an amazing job, super good fine line work and very detailed. My tattoo is fully healed and I’m always getting compliments on how the tattoo looks like it’s just been drawn on my arm, the fading was very minimal and still looks amazing months later. He directly drew on to my skin and gave me a one of kind piece of artwork, completely nailing my vision. Fantastic experience: I recently got a cover up tattoo by Mike that completely exceeded my expectations, and I can’t recommend Mike enough! I have been tattooed by two very famous New York and Los Angeles artists in the past, but I have to say Mike was better and did the most amazing job He listened to my needs and spent two hours designing and redesigning the tattoo, making sure it was exactly to my liking. Fantastic experience: My first tattoo was done at this wonderful shop during Friday the 13th. It was so busy, but the staff were able to accommodate each and every one of us. They provided slushees, orange and pineapple as well as sweets right at the front door. I instantly felt at ease once I walked in, the bundle of butterflies in my stomach were washed away. All the artists have their own style and expertise so I would definitely check out their instagram for more details. The event was well organized and I cannot wait for future events to come! A massive thank you to all the artists and their handiwork!!

Fantastic experience: I have gotten two tattoos so far at Kingdom Tattoo. My first one was two years ago from dragon (artist) and it still looks so good! I got another today from nathania (artist) and I love it! It’s the best fine line work I’ve had, and I’ve tried two other artists in Houston prior to coming here. The place is very nice and clean, the artists are professional, and I plan on coming back next month for another tattoo. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Will never go to another tattoo shop as I absolutely love it here, specifically love one of their artists, K (ig @houstontattooartist_goldenk). He is super talented and such an amazing person to be around. The shop itself is super clean and everyone there is nice and inviting.
