Positive experience: Super friendly staff and good quality but unfortunately they took advantage of it being my first tattoo and charged me more than double what I should’ve been charged. They charged me $600 for this simple design. Very disappointed.

Negative experience: Bad outlines with missing colour half the way. I could not see the result in the end due to excessive blood so I could not complain immediately. Consultation about any risk with thin outlines and light colour was not given. This was not my first tattoo in light colour (same motive, same body area) and none before has ever vanished that much or looked completely destroyed from the beginning. Yeah, no refund policy was signed but hey a good job is done with passion and pride not with excuses.

But after attending a transformative retreat, I finally had the courage to get one — and not just one, but two! From the moment I walked into Cleopatra Ink, I knew it was meant to be. By total coincidence, I ran into a friend who had the same idea — we both showed up at the exact same time without knowing the other was coming. Later that same day, another friend of ours came back to get a tattoo too. It honestly felt like the universe was giving me a little wink. The staff was so warm and welcoming. They made us Turkish coffee, shared stories about their culture, and created such a comfortable, friendly atmosphere that it felt like we were hanging out with old friends. The whole process was quick, painless (less than 20 minutes!), and surprisingly peaceful. I left with two meaningful tattoos that I absolutely love — and now I’m already thinking about what I want next. If you’ve ever been scared or hesitant, this is your sign. Cleopatra Ink made my very first tattoo experience unforgettable.

Fantastic experience: So I was a little worried about this place being in a touristy area. However, I have had multiple tattoos, and I have to say this is the cleanest most professional environment. I have come across. The prices are fair if not a deal. They even made me Turkish coffee and show me how to read the grounds for a fortune. They accommodated me and my friends at the last minute without any reservations too

Fantastic experience: Ossy gave me six piercings today, two lobes on each ear, one helix, and one tragus. I was worried my ear wouldn’t have enough space for the tragus and he let me know it would work. He was very friendly, quick, and the piercings didn’t hurt too bad. I was in and out so fast, in under 30 mins. He gave me a discount and a full size bottle of after care spray. I’ve been wanting these for some time now, so very pleased with my experience. I can’t wait til these are healed so I can switch to gold hoops. Thank you!!!!

Negative experience: This was my first tattoo, and the experience was very disappointing. I was told the tattoo would take 5 hours, but it was finished in just 2.5 hours. Even though it was a small design, they still charged me $1,000, which is extremely unreasonable. As someone new to getting tattoos, I trusted their estimate and felt misled and taken advantage of. It feels like this shop tries to overcharge customers, especially those who are new to getting tattoos and don’t know typical prices. After doing some research later, I realized there are much better artists and shops nearby that offer higher-quality work for a fair price. If you’re considering this place, get a clear price upfront and compare with other shops first don’t make the same mistake I did. There is better quality options available .

Fantastic experience: I just turned 18 and decided to get my first Tattoo here and it was 100% worth it. The atmosphere as soon as you walk in is welcoming with many chairs and complimentary drinks, the staff are all lively and extremely respectful, and the whole place is amazingly clean. I had my work done by Asa Garcia and he made my first tat better than i could have ever asked for explaining everything thoroughly and making it a good time in general.

Positive experience: Great tattoos, weird (and expensive) experience. My husband and I are from out of state and wanted to get tattoos during our visit to SF. The work itself is great- our artists were Bek and Remzi and the tattoos turned out beautiful. The experience itself left something to be desired, especially the cost. I tried to get a rough estimate of price in advance, but I was told they don’t do that because it’s based on the design agreed upon during the consultation. I do understand that (to an extent), but I’ve always been able to at least get an estimated range with other artists. Oguz did our design consult, which was fine. But when it was time to discuss price, he threw out an outrageous number for my husband’s design ($1,000 for a 5 inch color tattoo). My design was about 3 inches - all black but with some detailed line work. I was quoted $500. I understand the prices in SF are higher and I expected to pay more than usual, but that’s HIGH - especially for my husband’s. When he saw our reaction he offered to bring them down, so after going back and forth a bit my husband ended up paying $700 for his and I paid $450. I still think we overpaid, but he seemed really annoyed with us and I didn’t want to offend the artists - I respect the art form and want them to be paid fairly. Our artists did a great job, although they weren’t super friendly. When my husband’s was done they told us to wait a minute so his artist could take pictures/video. Then he kind of disappeared for 15-20 minutes, going in and out of the back room and taking his time making a coffee while we sat and waited for him. I thought that was rude. Both of our tattoos leaked out of the second skin within an hour of leaving the shop, so I don’t think they applied enough/sealed it correctly. They didn’t provide any extra and I didn’t want bacteria to get trapped underneath, so I just took it off. Oh- there was also no soap in the bathroom. Gross. In conclusion- they have very talented artists working here, which is their only saving grace, but it is not a five-star studio. Go here at your own risk ‍♀️

Fantastic experience: There isn’t a better place to go if you are looking for a quality piercing store near Fisherman’s Wharf. My fifteen year old daughter was really hoping to get her ears double pierced when we were in San Francisco. When noticed Cleopatras, We walked right in and were instantly greeted by a friendly piercing expert, Ossy. He gave her a quality piercing, and truly made my daughter’s day. My other daughter, who hasn’t had her ears pierced since her earrings were accidentally ripped out years ago, also got her ears re-pierced. Due to the tear in my youngest daughter’s ear, we assumed that she would not be able to have them pierced however he did not use the easy way, and instead he helped her and even recommended a special cream to heal the scar. Their prices were fair for the clean, modern environment. The spacious and comfy interior was welcoming and friendly to all guests. Our overall experience at Cleopatras was unforgettable! Our daughters were thrilled to have their ears pierced, and my husband and I were delighted to have kind service at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Ossy at Cleopatras to anyone!

Negative experience: i don’t write reviews ever but this guy SUCKS. i came in for a tongue piercing with Oğuz and with his bare hands he had me choose jewelry and sprayed it once before having me sit down with the only other prep being gloves and a needle and then piercing my tongue. He was also just very mean. i ended up leaving with this stupidest looking off centered tongue piercing. worse $110 i’ve ever spent.

I sent her my ideas and she created the design and she made all the modifications I asked. Dalma was excellent in listening and giving her professional advice what would work the best with my tattoo. Also a plus was that the chair was very comfortable and I was there for about 4 hrs. Would absolutely tattoo with Damla again!
