Fantastic experience: I came here straight from work about 30 minutes before closing, after calling ahead of time. I initially requested snake eye piercings, but after discussing it further while in the chair, I ended up getting frog eye piercings instead. I’m very satisfied with the outcome. My piercing healed well, I experienced no complications, and my teeth remain in perfect condition. I truly appreciate the service I received and would definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for a place where your business and time are valued.

Papillon “Pap” did a great job, was very accommodating for my preference and did a clean and swift job with the needle and jewelry insertion. His attention to detail, creativity, and patience really stood out. You can tell he genuinely cares about bringing your vision to life. I couldn’t be happier with the process or the final result. Fantastic experience: Taylor (@tattooviper_) did my first tattoo and I honestly couldn’t have picked a better artist. I was super nervous and definitely acting dramatic lol but she was really patient and talked me through everything so I felt comfortable the whole time. The shop was clean, she helped with placement, and didn’t rush me at all. The linework came out so clean and the tattoo looks even better than I pictured. It also healed really nicely. The pricing was very reasonable for the amount of detail and time she put in. I’ll definitely be going back to her again.

Negative experience: Don’t get me wrong there are a few amazing workers. However a 5 he long wait outside in the cold because you hosted a flash tattoo event and only had 2 tattoo artists there to begin with, and then allowed there to be no cap on how many tattoos people got so there’s 50 people outside freezing for hours while someone is in the chair getting 15+ tattoos. Then going in to get a tattoo and nowhere on their advertisement or online did it say anything about “only black ink”.. yet the tattoo I waited 5 hours for couldnt be what I wanted on my OWN body because it “has to be in black” just to leave and see that my friend who came with me, who had a different artist working on her, did in fact get a tattoo in color like she wanted. Though they did tattoo her neck while she sat on a backless stool. Told us people couldn’t wait inside because it was a “hazard” and then brought a 3rd tattoo chair into their lobby to tattoo in the LOBBY as the door is opening and closing and people are walking in and out. I’m sure that’s a hazard too. Very poorly ran and unorganized. People were leaving their number and name for call backs as to not have to wait outside for hours, and more than once they “misplaced” the list or “started over with lists” so people were left with no calls, no spot saved, not getting their tattoos they were promised. After everything was said & done I would have much rather paid normal pricing and booked an appointment had I known it would be like that.

Fantastic experience: Went to Motown for their 2/13 flash tats and it was amazing. All the staff was welcoming and made us feel like we were regulars. The shop is so clean and organized, and all the artist did phenomenal work. Will definitely be back to get some bigger pieces !

Fantastic experience: I came here with my sisters to get piercings, and we had such a great experience! Our piercer( I think his name was Pap) has such a goofy and welcoming personality that instantly makes you feel comfortable. He took the time to make sure we were happy with the placement before doing anything, which we really appreciated. The whole process was quick and professional. We’ve come here for all of our piercings and never had a single issue. Always great, fast, and reliable service. Plus, we even left with some cool t-shirts! This is hands-down our favorite shop, and we’ll definitely keep coming back.

Negative experience: Very poor customer service I checked the reviews before picking this place and my experience was the exact opposite. I called ahead of time to get the details for a piercing for my child the person that answered the phone was kind of rude and quick but no big deal. I got the details of what was needed as far as documents and verified my childs age to make sure. We get there and of course they cant do it because of her age. Taylor was absolutely unprofessional and downright rude and dishonest stating I didn’t tell her my child's age over the phone. Her tone was nasty and she kept involving herself in a conversation I was having with the “manager” who was almost as rude but at least she was trying to explain why they couldn’t do the piercing. Taylor needs customer service and phone etiquette training shes awful and clearly doesn’t know the difference between a conversation and argument maybe she has a problem being wrong or admitting fault but her lack of professionalism actually caused a negative interaction that wasn't needed. The man that was at the counter was polite and offered explanations maybe he should interact with customers or maybe teach those other two how to interact with humans.

My daughter wanted her septum done and they explained to her why it wasn’t a good idea for her and they gave her other options. All three of us were happy with what we got and how thoroughly everything was explained to us. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Took my daughter in for piercings for her 16th birthday with Pap today. He had a great sense of humor, made her feel relaxed and gave great after care instructions. We will be back for more piercings. I will be getting my nose pierced after all. Great experience over all.

Fantastic experience: Got my conch pierced today by Pap and the whole experience was great. He was super helpful, funny, and easy-going which made the process feel easy and comfortable from start to finish. Pap really knows his stuff. He gave great suggestions for the placement of my piercing and even helped me plan out what other piercings would look best to complete my setup. He also noticed an old piercing I had taken out due to bad healing and immediately pointed out what went wrong and why, which honestly showed how knowledgeable and professional he is. The walk-in process was quick and easy and I’d 100% come back again for my next piercing.

Negative experience: I wish I could give this place zero stars. They only take walk-ins. I’ve tried to go serval times, and each time I was turned away. There’s only one tattoo artist, and she has a nasty attitude. I wish I would’ve known that before trying to spend my money with her. Her minion, the piercer, loves turning people away. Save yourself the time and money.

Negative experience: Piercer was extremely unprofessional and rushed everything. I was extremely uncomfortable laying down when she was touching me because I’m extremely ticklish. Within not even a minute she had the piercing done which I wasn’t even ready for the piercing and she did it. Both me and my friend almost passed out and they did absolutely nothing not even offer water or anything. Not to mention neither of us had the anatomy for it so it rejected and also she had JUST woken up from a nap when we walked in. Seriously a joke I wish I knew her name because this is completely unprofessional

Fantastic experience: Free as a feather️ today is something I’ll never forget & will always be thankful for,a huge huge thank you and shoutout to the whole staff at Motown Tattoo Company & especially the angel Hailey Jasinski who did this amazing feather for me no charge due to a unfortunate situation they jumped in instantly and offered so that I don’t have to keep the name of the person who would bruise my neck on my neck ANY longer. The shop and staff is absolutely amazing it was such a cool experience,the shop has such cool walls and decor,while getting a piercing one of the artist held a Clients hand so she could squeeze it, they all joked around and chatted with everyone & gave customers a cool shirt.Please please go show love to her and their shop, look at their awesome work go get that tat you always wanted before summers over from them i cried the whole way home knowing its off me now theres no ties any way its all over without me having to wait weeks with it on me saving. i will always say this is my favorite tattoo n forever recommend them and go back❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: Got my nose pierced by the one and only Pap the Piercing Wizard ‍♂️, and let me just say it was a 10/10 experience, would absolutely let this delightful goblin stab my face again. He greeted us like we’d known each other since the dawn of time (or at least since the last full moon), cracked jokes, and somehow made getting impaled by a tiny piece of metal feel like a magical rite of passage. The whole process was smoother than a dolphin in a wetsuit. Quick, clean, and weirdly fun. I left the studio with a sparkly nose and a story to tell my ancestors. Pap, you are a chaotic good in a world full of boring neutrals. Never change.

Fantastic experience: Was able to do a walk-in about 3:30pm and walked out about 3:50pm, amazing execution of my requested piercings. I asked for two sets for my ears ($50 each) as well as my navel ($35) done. That was $135 total, will say paid with cash gave $150 no change given back, but he did amazing so not a big deal. Also got the cleaning solution which was $10 and a shirt (free) !!! Definitely would come back, the energy from start to finish was beyond what I expected !!!
