Fantastic experience: i had gotten a tattoo around May 2025 and had forgotten to review, it was my first tattoo the tattooist was professional and knowledgeable and put me at ease, its healed really well and i couldn’t be happier with it. the receptionist was also very kind we chatted for a little and it was a lovley experience all in all. if i have to travel to inverness to get more tattoos there i will!! thankyou all!

Fantastic experience: Walked into the shop a couple of weeks back with an "I was silly at 18" story. Having gotten a random tattoo at 18, I just thought, "Ah, that's that." So I pranced into the shop, assuming it would be a "no, sorry, we can't help." Hell no, it wasn't. The receptionist was super friendly. She asked one of the tattoo artists to come take a look. Bill came. He asked me a couple of questions as to what I was looking for. He grabbed a pen and drew a quick 30-second sketch. It was exactly what I was hoping for. I arrived on my tattoo date. The place couldn't be more chilled if they turned the air-con on full. Absolutely no pressure, the place was squeaky clean. Bill's work was swift, clean, and very professional. A total upgrade to what I had previously. Even better than I expected. Luka also did my wife's tattoo a couple of months back (hence the reason I picked Inverink). It's a top-notch shop with top-notch staff. 100% will be back.

Positive experience: Total experience was really okay. Booked in advance, everything was done on time. Doug is a really skilled artist, he got the job done quickly and it's nearly fully healed after 2 weeks. Place was clean and all that needed to be foiled was foiled. But. When I enquired about the price of the tattoo I specifically wrote the specific size of the tattoo I wanted (whole forearm size 25cmx10cm) they got me a price, we agreed, then I was a bit shocked when I arrived and the first project was just a bit bigger than a simple post stamp I asked to make it bigger to desired size and was met with statement that we will need to charge more, because it's big, well that's the point of price quote, so clearly someone at the office didn't pay attention or they try to get some extra money once you got there. Together with Doug we found a common ground and got this done. I can recommend, but make sure that when you ask for quotes they quote your desired size, not just the project.

Fantastic experience: I recently got a tattoo here and it was an excellent experience. Bill drew something up based on a loose specification, and I couldn't have been more happy with it. The staff are all lovely and friendly, and it's an excellent environment to get a tattoo in. I will be back for another before the year is out!

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is relaxed and professional, making you feel at ease. Luca takes the time to discuss ideas and ensure the design is exactly what you want. His attention to detail and artistry are exceptional. The studio is clean and well-maintained, which adds to the confidence in their work. I’m always thrilled with the results and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend! Remember to book in advance !!

Fantastic experience: I love this shop! I had a great conversation with Luca while he was doing my thistle tattoo, a celebration of my six months in Inverness. My friends who are tattoo experts say the color work is outstanding. Inver Ink's slogan is true: "Come in as a client and leave as a friend." These are my kind of people!

Negative experience: After receiving my tattoo I was delighted with it and was told to come back at MY convenience for a touch up so it became convenient for me so I went along but was told "it's not that bad" and "the tattooist that done it no longer works here anyway"so that was that no help or customer service after care then was cut off abruptly when speaking about a future tattoo I wished to have done for my late brother and was told by a guy who was smoking a cigarette by the door "what are ya wanting that for?"in an arrogant and rude tone totally offensive and demeaning to my brothers memory when your tattoo is done that's you and when there's 3 people smoking cigarettes outside the shop it's never a good look I have a shaggy edge to my tattoo still but no ideas or solution was offered by these I'm very hurt and disappointed by this rest in peace bro

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing place to get a tattoo. When you first enter you are greeted by Emily who is a very relaxed and chilled, this helped me a lot with my nerves as this was my first tattoo. Then I was introduced to Luca who was going to be my tattoo artist, Luca has a very good chilled personality and was great to talk to when getting tattooed. Overall this is by far the friendliest and skilled tattoo shop in the highlands. Would definitely recommend for first tattoos

Time flew as we were chatting and the atmosphere was so relaxed. The others artists were super welcoming too. On my next trip to Inverness, I'm definitely popping in again for some artwork. ☺️ Highly recommend this lovely shop. Fantastic experience: I’m here on vacation and wanted to get a tattoo while I was here and stupidly didn’t plan ahead. Inver Ink was so accommodating, friendly, helpful, and professional. Luca was the artist that helped me but I did interact with two other people and everyone was so wonderful. Luca communicated very well and kept me in the loop about my design and asked for my input frequently. Not only did he give me an amazing tattoo, he also pointed me in the right direction for some delicious food in the area! The shop is clean, bright, and friendly. I’m so pleased with my experience that I will absolutely be sure to stop in whenever I’m in the area. I cannot recommend the shop and Luca enough, this was by far my favorite experience getting tattooed, and I have many. Just remember it is cash only ;) thank you again Inver Ink staff!!!!!

Negative experience: Would keep clear, what I thought was a bruise is actually a blowout! My arm is a mess, I have paid £100’s of pounds to try and have this rectified and it’s still not disappearing.

Fantastic experience: Friendly guys, not intimidating at all for my first tattoo. Very clean and professional and told me about how the autoclaved the instruments or they were sterile single use. The artist spend ages with me going over my design until I was happy, also honest about what size of writing I could use to ensure it wouldn't blur or become illegible as the tattoo ages. Delighted, cost effective too as didn't charge for their extra time sketching out different designs. Now 5 days down the line and redness all gone. Only thing that would be nice are printed after care instructions but I was given verbal instructions. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I'm so impressed with my tattoo and my experience in this shop. Sarah did my tattoo and the attention to detail is insane. Nothing to much trouble and she just a genuinely lovely person. The walk in service is absolutely brilliant you might have a bit of a wait on that day but its because they take there time and do a great job and it's much better than waiting months for an appointment. Go early and set aside the whole day. I will be back next month and so glad to finally have someone who listens and nothing is to much. My partner had Doug a few weeks back and he was amazing also

Fantastic experience: Had a stellar time. I added to my collection of tattoos, I got a traditional Scottish tattoo and enjoyed learning about Scottish culture and local lore. Doug was fantastic with getting my design fitted around my other tattoos & the tattoo didn’t hurt compared to any other tattoo. It’s worth the wait. I enjoyed that asked what’s your budget and give you a design that’s perfect for any budget. Any time I will be in Scotland, I will only get a tattoo from here. Negative experience: I stupidly gave this place not 1 but 3 chances to do a decent tattoo. And by three different ‘artists’ I had three bad tattoos. First one on my wrist and was only black. When healed it was patchy and the lines were not even all the way around. This was a small and relatively easy (for a professional artist) piece to do. Second tattoo was on my shoulder blade and after giving the artist a picture of a brown snake, he finished my tattoo with what’s looks like a green turtle. Finally I had some writing done on lower arm and my goodness it’s the worst one in regards to the ink bleeding and it is so unbelievably raised all the time. When I show this to good artists, they are shocked. It looks horrible. Thankfully I found a much better artist and they fixed my snake one and the one on my wrist is covered. As for the one on my arm, well, it’s always going to be raised and itchy. I would NOT recommend this place. I guess it is my own stupid fault for going three times but with three different artists each time, I gave the benefit of the doubt. Stupid girl I am. If I could gave minus stars, I would. Dreadful work.

Fantastic experience: I have had 3 tattoos now done in Inver Ink and they make a fantastic job. All the tattooists are fantastic artists and I have never known anyone to complain about their work. There is no appointment system here, you turn up and hope it's not too busy. Even if it is busy you can chat to everyone else about what they are having done etc... If I was to get another tattoo it would be from here.

Negative experience: Not quite the "walk-in" experience advertised I arrived at 4pm, no-one in waiting room, simple line drawn black and white design in hand on a piece of paper in various sizes. Would have taken 20 minutes to do. Shop closes at 6pm.....they wouldn't do it even after I said I had a four hour round-trip just to get there. Maybe my fault for not checking before driving there....but, its "no appointment necessary, walk-in service" Left the shop gutted and a little annoyed. I think they should drop the walk in no appointment necessary claim and change it to Walk in, but only if it's early in the day, if we have time, we'll do it, if we haven't, you'll leave disappointed and you really should phone first"

Fantastic experience: My first tat, and had a good experience. I was nervous but was comforted, dan did my tat and stopped and started as I asked. Prices are very reasonable. Super clean, you can actually smell how clean it is when you walk through the door. They are all very friendly, and are cracking jokes, making you feel more comfortable. Cant wait to get another, and will absolutely be going back to trusty inver ink! Thanks guys!
