Garrison City Tattoo - Museum & Gallery

Fantastic experience: Had a few tattoos done here now and couldn’t recommend Garrison City Tattoo enough. Every time I’ve been in, the whole crew has been super welcoming and easy to deal with. Ross has done my tattoos and absolutely smashed it every time — stoked with his work. Brad also did some artwork for me and nailed it as well. The museum/gallery side of the place is awesome too and makes the whole place feel really unique. Super stoked with everything I’ve had done here and I’ll definitely be back. Cheers legends!

Fantastic experience: I waited two decades to finally bite the bullet and see another tattooist after having moved away from my hometown - Spoox is a great artist and knows his trade. To top it off he's an even better bloke. Go see him, you won’t be disappointed.

The shop itself is second to none and that is without considering the open to the public museum at the front. Excellent fit out, quiet and private location and a legendary tattooist doing the work. Highly recommend visiting for both the museum and the tattoos.

Fantastic experience: I want to leave a review not only for the great work and skill of Spoox as an artist,but also for the incredible military museum which is located in the shop. As a military collector I was in awe at the original ,rare and well set out displays. The shop is well laid out with a mix of WW2 (In whichTownsville played a large and important part) Vietnam and modern era items. Spoox is also very knowledgeable on all the displays,and will answer or find answers to any questions . As well as the amazing detailed tattoo work he does- the shop, the depth of the military history and the unique items to be seen here are a must see if you live or are visiting Townsville.

Fantastic experience: Have now seen Spoox for 2 tattoos now, I couldn’t be happier with both. The environment is extremely friendly, professional and the care that he takes during the tattoo is second to none, the vibe is also unmatched. The creativity and designs that I have received has been unique and just overall outstanding. The shop is also a museum, Spoox has done a great job at showcasing military history and creating a friendly, calm environment. I’ll definitely be seeing Spoox a lot more for tattoos and even just to check out the museum.

Fantastic experience: Known Brad most of my life the guy is a gentleman and a legend on the machine! The history he has on Townsville and the wars in general on display is better than some museums. shop is always spotless and his partner Speedy is always welcoming when ever someone arrives.

The museum collection has been carefully curated, and no detail has been spared in arranging the historically significant artefacts; demonstrating the meticulous research that has gone into each display. If military history isn’t your jam, I can highly recommend the quality of work and care that comes with each unique piece of body art. I was tattooed by Ross 2 months ago, and his work is top-tier quality! I asked Ross to alter one of his original flash designs, he did so exactly to suit my request, and without hesitation. Not only am I extremely happy with the result, but it is also the least painful tattoo I have received to date. Check this place out, and support a local business that supports the ADF. You won’t be disappointed!

After sitting on the fence about getting my first tattoo, I stalked their socials mustering the courage to book in. When I decided to book, the whole process was easy and made me excited for my appointment. Entering the business, I was surprised at how much effort and care was put into the place to make it a truly unique experience. Not only are there artifacts and memorabilia which adorn the walls, but the place had such a great vibe. Spoox and Kristy were very welcoming and friendly, helping me calm my nerves ahead of my appointment. The whole tattoo process was seamless, with Spoox taking exceptional care to get the position right and explain the aftercare for my tattoo. Spoox did an exceptional job and I was super happy with my first tattoo experience. I would definitely recommend Spoox at Garrison City Tattoo to anyone looking for a unique tattoo experience! ☺️

Fantastic experience: I dropped into Garrison City Tattoo on their opening day to have a look at an incredible military display including alot of local artifacts that were found around Townsville area from WW2 and to also get a new Tattoo while I was there. The shop is like no other Tattoo shop I've been into with the front half a military museum and the back half the Tattoo studio with 4 very neat and clean work stations. It has great chilled out ol' school vibe that wouldn't be out of place in 50s or 60s America. Spoox is a great professional, passionate artist and was very accomodating to any changes or requests and the Tattoo I received was top tier. Awesome range of merch for sale so had to snag me a new shirt. 10/10 would reccomend Garrison City Tattoo to anyone looking for a Tattoo and just a military buff that wants to see a very cool collection.
